About this program

Through two community clean up events, one in the Lower 9th and one in the Desire neighborhood, EOS and partners Healthy Gulf, Lower Ninth Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement & Development (CSED), Gulf South for a Green New Deal, Eye on Surveillance, No Waste Louisiana, and Common Ground Relief came together to show that New Orleans can address dumping without surveillance.

Surveillance is Trash is a campaign Eye on Surveillance plans to launch in October 2021 to show that New Orleans can address dumping without surveillance.

  • Four cleanups will be organized in different parts of the city, including the Lower 9th Ward, the East, Central City, and TBD.
  • In addition to physically picking up waste, these pickups will educate, set up data collection, and engage with local communities and youth.
